Manual Lens EXIF Data Emulation Function
This feature is available only on the following products:
- For EF-MFT mount T CINE Smart Adapter and EF-MFT mount T Smart Adapter II, you may store the metadata of up to 3 manual focus lenses in the non-volatile memory of the adapter.
- For EF-MFT mount T Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x II and EF-MFT mount T Speed Booster XL 0.64x II, you may store the metadata of one manual lens in the non-volatile memory of the Speed Booster.
To store the metadata of a manual lens:
- Download and run Metabones App.
- Connect EF-MFT CINE Smart Adapter to computer with micro USB cable (not included).
- Enter the name of up to 3 manual focus lenses, their zoom ranges, and maximum/minimum apertures.
- Click the 'Set' button.
To activate the metadata stored in your Smart Adapter, turn on the camera and press the entire jog lever on the adapter inward to select the first programmed manual lens, flip the jog lever upwards for the second manual lens and flip the jog lever downward for the third. You may have to keep the jog lever pressed for more than a second before the camera will respond.
For a Speed Booster, turn on the camera and depress the button on the Speed Booster. You may have to depress the button for more than one second before the camera will respond.
The Manual Lens EXIF (aka 'chip') Emulation function is cancelled when the lens is changed or the camera is turned off. Choose a manual lens again with the jog lever or the pushbutton to re-activate it.
