Limitations and unsupported List
  
  • The rear element of the lens cannot protrude from the flange more than 10.5mm.
  • This product is designed for the APS-C Crop mode of the specific cameras (eg. 4K 60P Crop mode of Panasonic S1H, S5 and S5K, etc).
  • Nikkor DX lenses and third-party lenses designed for APS-C format DO NOT WORK AT ALL when used in conjunction with Speed Booster® due to the limitation of image coverage.

  • Nikkor E series lens, the diaphragm blades are not operated by mechanical linkage levers, such as Nikkor 105mm f/1.4E, Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR, Nikkor AF-S 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED DX VR, and Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR, Nikkor AF-S 600mm f/4E FL ED VR and PC-E 19mm, 24mm, 45mm, 85mm T/S Lens, etc.
  • This adapter is manual aperture control. It does NOT support electronic aperture control, AF and image stabilization.

Metabones® Speed Booster® ULTRA 0.71x for L-Mount and RF-mount cameras

Sharper corners, less distortion, reduced vignetting 

New optical design:  advanced 5-element/4-group optical design incorporating ultra-high index tantalum-based optical glass to achieve extraordinary optical performance with improved corner sharpness, distortion and reduced vignetting.

Like the revolutionary original Metabones Speed Booster announced in January 2013, the Speed Booster ULTRA has a magnification of 0.71x, and so it effectively reduces the crop factor of mirrorless cameras with DX-sized sensors and Super35 camcorder, such as Sony E-mount, Fuji X-mount cameras Sony FS7 MARKII, from 1.5x to 1.07x.  However, the new ULTRA design makes very effective use of exotic materials at the furthest limit of glassmaking technology, and as a result is well corrected for use with virtually all full-frame SLR/Prime lenses regardless of exit pupil distance.  (More information can be found in the press release here)

New professional Mount-Rod Support Kit is also available (not included), which is compatible with all Metabones adapters with tripod foot.
